Bryggen - the Hanseatic Wharf
Bryggen is one of the most famous and best-preserved urban areas from medieval times. It is included on the UNESCO World Heritage List of cultural monuments and is a fine example of Norwegian architecture. Bryggen is a lively area today and home to many restaurants, cafés, shops and art galleries.
The Fish Market
Enjoy the hustle and bustle of Bergen's picturesque and lively fish market. The famous market also sells fruit, vegetables, flowers, handicrafts and souvenirs.
Fløibanen Funicular
The funicular railway is one of Norway's most famous attractions and the only one of its kind in Scandinavia. The trip starts from the city centre, just 150 metres from the Fish Market and Bryggen. From Mount Fløien, approximately 320 metres above sea level, you can enjoy the beautiful view of Bergen and the surrounding area.
Mount Fløien offers beautiful natural surroundings with numerous opportunities for walking and hiking. There is also a restaurant, souvenir shop and play area at the top.
Museums and Art Galleries
Enjoy Bergen’s many museums and art galleries, spanning over a wide range of subjects and interests. The Hanseatic Museum, Old Bergen Museum and Fantoft Stave Church, just to mention a few. Several valuable and impressive art collections are housed in a string of galleries along Lille Lungegårdsvann.

Getting around
With the Bergen Card, you can enjoy free bus travel within the city limits, free admittance to most museums and attractions and discounts on a variety of cultural and sightseeing attractions and parking.
