Café René is a popular and informal place to eat situated in the middle of the quay by Smedasundet strait. Its location and fantastic views make it the perfect place to meet, and it serves a wide selection of tasty lunch dishes and main courses.
The restaurant has the town's largest selection of beer with over 170 bottled varieties and 13 on tap. The café also offers drinks such as kombucha and tea, and local and homemade products and cakes are available as takeaways. From the fresh food counter, you will find a wide selection of sandwiches and cakes from the house patisserie.
Café René is famous for its fantastic fish & chips, which are highly recommended. During the summer months, you can enjoy outdoor service on the quayside and the beautiful views of Smedasundet strait.
The café is open daily from 11:00 until late, and the kitchen closes at 22:00.
