Lillehammer Art Museum

Lillehammer Art Museum is located in a unique building designed by Snøhetta, in the centre of Lillehammer. The permanent collection comprises Norwegian visual art from the 1830s up until today, and the museum also presents temporary exhibitions featuring Norwegian and international art.

Lillehammer Art Museum is one of Norway’s leading art museums. The collection consists of over 1500 works dating from the 19th century to the present day. Part of the collection is always on show.

The museum building was designed by Snøhetta for the Lillehammer Winter Olympics in 1994.

ANDREAS ERIKSSON 

The exhibition 'The house is leaning, but the curtains hang straight' is the largest exhibition by the renowned artist Andreas Eriksson in Norway.

The exhibition will be on display from April 13 to August 25 2024.

HIGHLIGHTS FROM NORWEGIAN ART HISTORY

Lillehammer Art Museum is one of the few art museums in Norway that can present the country's art from the beginning of the 19th century to our time with works by Johan Christian Dahl, Hans Gude, Frits Thaulow, Edvard Munch and Harriet Backer.

The Museum Cafe - The museum café sells lunch dishes and a wide choice of freshly baked bread and cakes.
