Fast route to Norway

We are very happy to announce that we next year also offer the fastest route between Denmark and Norway with our service Fjord Line Express. Our high-speed catamaran takes you from Hirtshals to Kristiansand in only 2 hours and 15 minutes, and is also the fastest vessel ever to have crossed the Atlantic Ocean. A travel experience in itself.

On board Fjord Line Express you will find that a standard seat is included in your ticket. You also have the option to upgrade to the comfort seat-class with a table, or even enjoy the whole journey from one of our restaurant seats with buffet included.  Breakfast, lunch or dinner – fast food has a different meaning to us.

Facilities on board

On board the MS Bergensfjord we offer a variety of cabin categories, good food, live music and a wide selection of tax free products. Traveling with the MS Bergensfjord also means close-up views of the breathtaking Western Norwegian fjord landscape and glaciers, giving you a unique experience along the way. While enjoying the views from one of our restaurants, or perhaps from the sun deck, you will get a little taste of the wonderful coastline which has made the Hurtigruten-journey so famous and fascinating. You will reach your destination relaxed and fully rested when traveling with Fjord Line directly to Western Norway – a unique and exclusive way to get there.

Flexible pricing system

Fjord Line offers a system where prices go by the booking date, capacity of the ship and travel date. If you book early for a travel date that is not such frequented at this time, you get a cheaper price generally. Please note that it is also possible that the price is going down again.

Often prices before or after main travel days are so much cheaper that, with a little bit of flexibility in choosing your travel dates, you can save the costs for an additional accommodation to simply enjoy your holiday one more day to the fullest.

In addition to the flexible pricing system Fjord Line works with two different ticket types with different benefits for you.

The economy ticket is the cheaper option and with the Flex ticket you get greater flexibility if being able to change the ticket is important for you.

Economy Ticket:

• A cancellation of crossing within 24 hours after booking is free of charge 
• There is no refund of the ticket for cancellations 
• If you change the ticket to a cheaper date, no refund is given
• If you change to a more expensive date all additional cost is due immediately

Flex Ticket:

• until 14 days of departure, a full refund is given for paid tickets
• less than 14 days and until 24 hours of departure 75 percent of the ticket value is refunded
• name of the person booking the trip, the number of persons travelling, car registration numbers, cabins/reclining chairs
• if tickets are changed to higher price categories, the difference in price must be paid
