The Lillehammer region

Lillehammer hosted The Olympic Winter Games in 1994, and is known for old farms, a modern town centre and surrounding alpine skiing resorts.

The Jotunheimen Mountains

Enjoy the view from the top of Galdhøpiggen, Norway's tallest mountain, or walk along the narrow, but popular, Besseggen Ridge.

Rondane

Norway’s oldest national park is home to wild reindeer and has several peaks over 2,000 metres.

Dovrefjell

The Dovrefjell mountain area is the home of the musk ox and the barrier between the southern and central regions of Norway.

The Gudbrandsdalen Valley

Gudbrandsdalen is surrounded by the national parks of Jotunheimen, Rondane and Dovrefjell, and is known for medieval farms, good skiing and hiking.

Valdres

The region of Valdres is known for hiking, cycling and fishing in the summer, and more than 1,000 kilometres of cross-country trails in the winter.

Gjøvik, Land and Toten

Gjøvik is located by Lake Mjøsa and is home to Skibladner, the oldest paddle steamer in the world.

Bjorli and Lesja

At the very top of Gudbrandsdalen, only a few kilometers from Romsdalen, you will find the municipality of Lesja and the village of Bjorli.
