Here’s a little taste of what you can experience when you are travelling with children in Southern Norway:

Zoo and Amusement Park

Visit Kristiansand Zoo and Amusement Park, Norway's most frequently visited attraction has a zoo, amusement park and large waterworld complex. It is also possible to stay at Abra Havn, a pirate village situated next to the zoo. 

Aqua Parks

If it's raining outside, you can enjoy a swim inside at Sørlandsbadet in Lyngdal , Hovden Badeland , Aquarama in Kristiansand or in the waterworld complex at Kristiansand Zoo, Badelandet

Waterski Cableway

Why not set yourself a challenge on water by trying the Rixen Waterski Cableway in Flekkefjord.

Climbing Park

Let loose your inner monkey at the climbing parks Klatreskogen junior park in Evje and Wannado on Tromøy.

Mountain Bike

Test your cycling skills at TrollAktiv's mountain bike park.

Family Rafting

Wild whitewater rafting for children aged six and over at TrollAktiv and Adventure Norway.

Close to the animals

Pet large and small domestic animals at one of the many farms and summer pasture farms in the region. You may also get close to the animals at Barnas Dyrepark in Spangereid or at Den lille Dyrehage at Brokelandsheia. 

Mineral hunting

Go dinosaur hunting, polish the most beautiful minerals and carve your own stone figure at the Mineral Park in Evje.

Chemistry and technology

Explore the nature laws, join in on chemistry experiments and pick your brain with mathemathical questions at Vitensenteret in Arendal. 

History and culture 

Visit the Vest-Agder county's museums and learn more about war history in Southern Norway, everyday life in Kristiansand 100 years ago, traditions and culture and local crafts like boat building.
