In addition to Kristiansand Zoo, Sørlandsbadet, playland and things that are open all year, there are even more great activities for children during the summer season.
In the Mineral park at Evje, there is a spectacular rock collection with the world's most beautiful rocks. In connection with this exhibition, the park offers other activities for the entire family: Dinosaur hunting in the exhibition, adventure creek, jewellery workshop and rock carving. In addition, there is a climbing forest, beach and boat rental here. There is a large selection of jewellery and rock sculptures in the gift shop, and the cafes make it possible to stay here all day. Children's Zoo (Barnas dyrepark), Lindesnes
The Children's Zoo at Svennevik near Mandal is perfect for small children who like to cuddle, play and pet kittens, lambs, goats, pigs, hens and ponys. It's also possible to take part in the milking of cows, and the children can ride a horse every day. There's also a miniature house with different activities for the little ones. May-August.
The Science Centre in Arendal
The exhibitions at The Science Centre in Arendal are filled with exciting experiments and interactive installations you can try out, for example "The maritime world", "Energy in the environment" and "Numbers are everywhere". You can run in the hamster wheel, lift yourself off the ground, test yourself to see if you are "King of the trash heap" or an "environmental pig". For the youngest children there is an activity room called Pythagoras with a climbing wall, fish pond and other educational activities.
Sjølingstad uldvarefabrikk, Mandal
In the summer season, The Wool Factory has guided tours several times a day, in addition to a wool workshop for children. At the wool workshop, children can try and make their own tangled picture made of wool yarn. The children get to be part of the entire production, and one of the highlights is when the picture passes through the large hole puncher. The wool workshop is suitable for chiuldren from 2-3 years and older. The surroundings are perfect for picnics, and the factory has its own shop with a café and changing exhibitions. June-August.
Situated directly at the town beach in Kristiansand you find Aquarama - Kristiansand's new adventure and activity centre. Here at Norway's best aquatic centre we have a Olympic size swimming pool (50 by 25 metres) and diving platform, wellness centre, as well as the extensive water park with two slides, a climbing pool and FlowRider Surfing wave with its own instructor.
"Grandpa rafting" at Evje and Marnadal
Bring your grandpa rafting. Both Troll Aktiv in Evje and Adventure Norway in Marnardal offer rafting tours that are suitable for six-year-olds as well as sixty-year-olds. June-September.
Hove high rope course (klatrepark)
Feel the adrenaline while crossing burma bridges and balancing logs nine metres above the forest floor. Hove high rope course brings you rapidly down, high up and deep within yourself! Children and adults – everyone has a good time in the high rope course! Sundays between 12-15. Easter-August.
Climbing Forest in Evje
The Climbing Forest in Evje has a great outdoors high rope course with 18 different activities for children, including four zip wires above water. Let the children have an adventure in the top of the trees. The safety measures in DiscoverPark is a continuous life line; The children are hooked on the line at the start of the adventure, and it stays on during the entire ride. May-October.
Go on an elk safari! Join a guide late at night to "hunt" the king of the forest. Elk safari is done at Adventure Norway, TrollAktiv, Hovden and Bykle, Neset camping and the Elk safari centre at Stupstad.
The Little Zoo
The Little Zoo has a great diversity of different animals. Monkies, crocodiles, snakes and lizards are som of the exotic animals inside the zoo. Outside you can visit the animals in "the little yard" where you can meet the curious meercat or you can just relax while the kids are playing.
