The museum and science centre also comprises of the following facilities and exhibitions: Krossen Oats Mill, Storgata 26, Sandnes. An authentic industrial facility and cultural monument that documents the production and milling of oatmeal. Exhibition on "Leonardo da Vinci - a genius of his time", with models of his many amazing inventions that were far ahead of their time. Pottery and brickworks exhibition, Solaveien 10, Sandnes. For more than 200 years, brickworks and pottery have been an important part of Sandnes' livelihood. This exhibition documents the entire process, from the clay deposits to the finished, burned pottery and bricks. Vitenfabrikken is part of Jærmuseet, a regional museum for the municipatilities of Sandnes, Time, Klepp, Hå, Randaberg, Sola and Gjesdal. Jærmuseet was awarded the "Museum of the Year 2009" award in Norway. The museum also received the European "Micheletti Award 2009", for best technological museum in Europe.
