Overview
Details

Located behind Oslo Cathedral, Basarhallene ('the bazaar halls') were built during the period 1841-1858. The halls, which were originally used as butcher shops, are drawn by architect Christian H. Grosch in Neo-Romanesque style, with roofed arcades in front.

The complex was renovated in 1960, and today it houses little shops with  arts, crafts and antiques, as well as several cafees and restaurants.
