Ormtjernkampen National Park, the smallest of its kind in Norway, has been expanded and renamed Langsua National Park. Four landscape conservation areas and six nature reserves have been created as part of this project.

With its spectacular low-mountain landscape and rich biodiversity, the national park provides important habitats for endangered and rare species.

The protected areas comprise historic pastures still in use, and offer a unique mountain farm environment abundant in cultural heritage. Farming and forestry are the most important economic activities.

The area is ideal for wildlife adventures such as hunting, fishing, hiking and skiing. Prepared cross-country ski trails are available during winter, and during summer visitors can enjoy a network of way-marked as well as unmarked trails.
