Beach with historical surroundings from the viking period in Hafrsfjord. The area is located close to Madlaveien south of Madlaleiren. The area is totally 23.4 da of which 13 is green grass, 3,3 is nature and sandy beach. Tiny river from Store Stokkavann flows through beach area.
The monument "Sverd i fjell" (3 swords) made by Fritz Røed, is a monument to commemorate the battle of Hafrsfjord which unified Norway to one kingdom around year 900 and is located near the beach.
Limited parking, specially on sunny days.
Transport: Bus no. 29 to Madlasandnes. Stop at Madlaleiren military base. Around 10 minutes.
