The Cider House is situated in an orchard with 100 different varieties
of fruit. From mid-June to mid-August the summer restaurant is
open from Sunday to Friday, 16-22. The kitchen closes at 21.30.
Saturdays closed due to private events. On the menu you will find
dishes with local ingredients and inspiration from the Mediterranean.
As far as possible, local or organic ingredients are used.
For groups of min 15 persons on request: guided tours from the village centre, cider
tasting, interpretation about fruit and cider production, Gregorian
song, lunch and dinner when the restaurant is closed..
The Cider House produces still cider, sparkling cider and fruit wines.
From the distillery you can taste different fruit brandies.
Sale of Balholm fruit juices, honey and food souvenirs made of fruit
and berries. Due to Norwegian legislation, we are not allowed to sell bottles of alcohol to take away, only serve the drinks in the restaurant.
