Briksdal Glacier

Guests from all over the world come to visit this famous glacier arm set attractively between roaring waterfalls and high peaks. Located in Jostedalsbreen National Park. See the Briksdalen valley by foot or catch a ride with one of the "Trollcars" up to the glacier.   NOTE: It is very dangerous to move close to the glacier, and everyone must respect the roadblocks. There is much movement in the glacier, and the danger of avalanches is high.
Adventure paddling in rafting boats on the lake facing the glacier, between pieces of ice that has fallen off from the glacier. 
At Briksdalen you will find a restaurant, the areas largest souvenir shop and an office where you can book guided glacier safaris, glacier walks in Bødal or " Troll car" trips. 
Glacier Safari in rafting boats on the lake in front of the Briksdal Glacier NOK 250 per person (net rate). Due to the ice condition at Briksdal Glacier, there will not be glacier walks here. The location for glacier walks is Bødal Glacier and Brenndal Glacier. Glacier walks stats at NOK 650 per person. Time: 5-6 hours (3 hours on ice). Group discount: 10% for groups over 4 persons.

Transport in open Troll Cars
Visitors to Briksdalen can enjoy a ride to the glacer in one if the 11 vehicles "Troll cars". The cars has a capacitu if 7 persons (totally 77 persons per trip), and run all day from 08.15-17.00 from April until October. By request trips can be take outside regular season, if the weather allows it.
Roundtrip is 1,5 hous and the price is NOK 190 per person. In company with an adult, children from 7-14 years old receive a discount if 50% and children age 7 and younger are free. Groups larger that 10 receive group discount.
