The Fjord region offers everything from professional ski resort till unique tailored ski touring – all in a winter landscape like no other destination in the world.

The most important skiing areas

You will find two ski resorts at Voss, which are only a 20-minute drive from each other. They are the biggest and most easily accessible ski centres in the region, with good ski schools and long histories of welcoming guests from abroad.

There are two ski centres by the Sognefjord. Ski Sogn consists of two small ski centres and several accommodation options. You can have an exciting and different skiing holiday here that also includes activity tours in dramatic scenery.

North in Fjord Norway you can ski in the "Alps of Sunnmøre" at Strandafjellet Ski Centre, an off-piste and powder paradise with fjord view.

Freeskiiers are recommended to travel to Røldal ski centre in Southern Fjord Norway, with snow in abundance and exciting terrain.

Other alternatives in Southern Fjord Norway are Sirdal and Sauda, located near Stavanger and Haugesund.

The Alpepass region consists of the resorts of Stryn, Stranda, Sunnmørsalpane, Stordal, Ørskogfjellet, Ørsta, Volda and Harpefossen. One ski pass gives you access to all the ski resorts, which offer both powder and fantastic beginner slopes.
