Geilolia Tree Top Walk is one of the largest in Norway, and offers 29 different challenges with varying degrees of difficulty. It includes zip lines (aerial runways) and one is a thrilling 150 metres long.
The Summerpark offers daily activities such as the tree top walk, children’s playground, bungee trampoline, canoe hire, cycle hire, sale of green card for Vestlia Golf Course, and white water rafting. Hiking
Geilo has Hallingskarvet as its backbone and Hardangervidda, one of Northern Europe’s largest mountain plateaus, as its nearest neighbour. More than 500 kilometres of waymarked trails and walks let you enjoy nature at close range.
The mountain chair lift takes you rapidly up to Geilohøgda, to a panoramic view and the perfect starting point for walks and hikes towards Hallingskarvet.
Cycling
Geilo is good for biking; extreme biking, off-road biking and family tours.
Rallarvegen is one of the most popular and most scenic bicycle rides in Norway. It takes you from the vast mountain plateau of Hardangervidda right down to Flåm and the Aurlandsfjord, or Voss.
Geilolia Chairlift is open four days a week: Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday between 3 pm and 6 pm (25 June - 16 August). In the autumn it is open every Saturday.
Bicycle rental, marked tracks and trails, maps and guided cycling trips – it is all set for a mountain cycling adventure.
Fishing
At Geilo, most of the lakes are stocked with trout, but there are also some lakes with Arctic char. You will find small idyllic lakes as well as large high mountain lakes. Maps of the various fishing areas are found at the tourist information.
Riding
There are possibilities to buy packages and go for two-day trips by horse in the mountains. Please contact the the tourist information for more information.
Golf
A nine-hole mountain golf course is situated in beautiful surroundings around a lake. Water, heather, birch trees and bunkers all make this a technically difficult course to play.
The course requires more technique than brute force, and most players will discover new sides to their game. Located at 800 metres above sea level, the golf ball will fly up to 10% longer than at golf courses situated at sea level.
Rafting
Rafting in Numedalslågen with professional guides committed to safety and service.
Climbing
Husaraberget near Geilo is a great area for climbing. Here you will find 81 routes, from the grade of 4 to 8, with 8 to 90 metres of free fall.
