Sirdal is a traditional ski resort, located in the southwest of Norway. Its altitude (550 - 800 metres above sea level) makes it a reliable ski resort, with skiing normally starting around Christmas.
Alpine skiers can chose between four different ski centres. All together you can choose from 15 lifts and 43 runs. The longest runs are almost 2 kilometres. The ski runs are spacious and the opportunities for off-piste skiing are many. If you are into touring, why not aim for the eye-catching Hilleknuten Peak (1,209 metres above sea level)?
Children can choose between four different children's lifts, which are all free of charge.
There is one professional ski school in Sirdal - Sirdal Ski & Brettskole - which ensures that eyou get the right start to your skiing career.
For the new school skiers, Sirdal offers three different terrain parks. The parks represent a large selection of rails, big jumps, wall rides, boarder crosses and so on.
For cross-country enthusiasts Sirdal offers 220 kilometres of waymarked and groomed trails.
If you wish to have a break from skiing, you can try other activities such as dog sledging, snowmobile safaris, sledging and ice fishing.
