Since 1762, Hadeland Glassverk has been situated in idyllic surroundings on the banks of Lake Randsfjorden, just one hour’s drive from Oslo.

Here you can experience Norwegian traditions, history and culture and see the latest trends and designs in glass. There are many exciting experiences to offer all age groups.

Norway's oldest industrial company

The glassworks is the oldest industrial company in Norway that can claim continuous operation since its foundation. With its 190 employees, the glassworks today not only represent a large and thriving industry undergoing constant development, but also significant operations linked to the Visitor Centre.

The company boasts a significant historical and cultural heritage, whilst at the same time focusing on continuous development and new design. The Visitor Centre welcomes almost 600,000 visitors annually, and is thereby one of Norway's most popular tourist attractions.

In the glass-blowers’ workshop you can watch glass-blowers practice their craft and there are exciting exhibitions in the Art Gallery. Learn about the history of glass-blowing in the Glass Museum, or join fun activities for children all year round.

There are pleasant dining facilities offering delicious traditional Norwegian food, and you can buy glass products to bring home.
