Description

At Bergsjøstølen it's now possible to do skiing activities with skis or snowboard using Norways' only ski/snowboard cable park on ground. The cable park has been made for skiing games for children and adults, just as demanding as you want it to be, and suitable for all ages. Choose whether you want to practice tricks, or just play.

The activity is spectator-friendly and popular among experienced kiters, snowboarders and those who just like to play. An excellent activity for those who don't want to go skiing, but want something else to do.

The cable park is 130 metres long and brings the user up to a respectable speed (40 km/h) for tricks and other activities. Along the track you find jumps and rails, so that you can jump and do tricks with skis and boards. The same kind of cable park can be used on the water and is then called Wakeboard.

Kiting is a type of sport where "kiters" use a paraglide and skis or board, using the wind to get speed. Perfect wind speed on snow is 5 - 10 m/s.
The sport is also practiced during summer, but then they call it Kitesurfing.
