Description

The bridge over the Figgjo river was completed in 1853, a combined stone arch and slab construction that is 100 metres long. The bridge formed part of the first public thoroughfare in Rogaland designed for motorised vehicles, and is still known as the Postal Road. Turn off Rv44 onto Fv242 at Skjæveland - the bridge is located on your left side.
