"Innherred sodd", also known as "sodd og skjenning", is a meal fit for a feast. You will find several varieties of the dish. You can buy Innherred sodd at Inderøy Slakteri (a butcher's shop) in Inderøy.
Inderøy is also known for an interesting stretch comprising of 18 small businesses and sights, called The Golden Route.
In Verdal and Steinkjer, you should eat at the bakery/café Brød & Cirkus. The two outlets serve good and reasonably priced food. The menu has an international touch.

On the same hilltop you will find Øyna Parken, with beautiful views and a menu featuring ingredients from the eight municipalities around the Trondheimfjord.
