From Oslo (220 kilometres)Driving time: Three – three and a half hours.
Follow the E18 towards Drammen and Sandvika. Keep to the right by Sandvika and follow the E16 towards Hønefoss. Stay on the E16 for about an hour and then turn left from the roundabout onto fv. 7. Follow fv. 7 towards Gol. After Gol, turn right onto fv. 52 to Hemsedal.
From Larvik (290 kilometres)Driving time: Four – four and a half hours.
Follow the E18 towards Drammen. From Drammen, take the E134 towards Kongsberg as far as the roundabout at Hokksund. Take the exit signposted for fv. 35 and Vikersund. Follow fv. 280 until it meets the crossroads with fv. 7 towards Gol and Bergen. Follow fv. 7 to Gol and exit to fv. 52 towards Hemsedal.
From Bergen (273 kilometres)Driving time: Four – four and a half hours.
Follow the E16 past Lærdal all the way to Borlaug. Turn off onto fv. 52 to Hemsedal.
From Oslo and Bergen you can go by train to Gol, and continue to Hemsedal by local bus or taxi. For timetables and booking, please contact the Norwegian State Railways (NSB).
Sogn og Fjordane Ekspressen and Hallingbussen are express buses between Oslo and Hemsedal.
If you are arriving by air, Oslo Airport Gardermoen is the nearest large airport. There are direct transfer buses from/to Oslo Airport Gardermoen and Hemsedal. The bus must be booked in advance.
