Nightlife

Even though the skiing arenas are floodlit, and there are lighted trails for evening cross-country skiing, many prefer a different kind of activity in the evenings, after a long day out in the fresh air. In which case you may be tempted by Lillehammer's "alternative lighted trail" on which, given the the size of the town, there are indeed many worthy stops.

Most of the watering holes can be found in, or in the near vicinity of, Storgata Street, which for the most part is a pedestrian precinct where you find bars, pubs and nightclubs/discos such as popular Brenneriet which has three sperate bars and room for approximately 1,000 people.

The bars and pubs close between 2 am and 3 am and the nightclubs at 3 am.
