Mountain biking at Skeikampen Resort

Try real mountain biking on single tracks around the Prestkampen Mountain, with splendid views of the Jotunheimen and Rondane national parks.

The Skeikampen area is situated 800 metres above sea level and offers exciting biking trips in the nearby mountain forest. The area is less than two kilometres from the open plateau between Skei and Gålå, from which you can see the towering peaks of national parks of Rondane and Jotunheimen. Many trail bikers consider Skeikampen to be the best place for off-road cycling in Norway. If you want to challenge yourself, head to the trails north of Skeikampen at Avlundkampen, Prestkampen, Slagsfjella, Røgnhøgda and Frøyseterhøgda.

Bicycles are available to rent at Skeikampen's Welcoming Centre

Where to stay

There is a variety of accommodation on offer in Skeikampen – for example Thon Hotel Skeikampen Velkomstsenter and Austlid Fjellstue. There are also cabins and apartments to rent. All units are located close to facilities and routes. More information is available accommodation.

How to get to Skeikampen

Skeikampen is located 38 kilometres northwest of Lillehammer. In the summer, you need your own car to get to Skeikampen. Follow the road signs from Lillehammer towards Gausdal, Svingvoll and Skei.
