Storgata shopping precinct

Most of the shops in Lillehammer are located in Storgata, or in the surrounding streets. From Lilletorget Square, you can take a detour to the old industrial area of Mesna Brug that today houses a number of shops and has been given the name Mesnasenteret. In addition to "ordinary" things to buy, you will find shops selling local handicrafts and knitwear.

Husfliden Lillehammer

For more than a century, Husfliden has supplied products that bring joy, festivity and identity to its customers. Through a nation-wide design concept, Norsk Flid, and in collaboration with leading Norwegian designers and producers, Husfliden promotes and supports Norway's proud traditions in a modern form. The shop is located in the middle of Storgata on Sigrid Undset Square.

Brusveen, in the opposite end of Storgaten, specialises in extreme skiing. Mesna Sport near the Mesna Bridge is big on ice skating, hockey, and alpine skiingSport 1 in Kirkegaten, towards the railway station, is big and has a good selection of camping, biking and hiking gear. They also have brand departments for Norrøna, Bergans and Lowe.

If you are into cross-country skiing, buy your Swix ski wax here - it is produced in Lillehammer. The various stores in town sometimes have good offers on sleeping bags (Ajungilak, a Norwegian make), skis and bikes at the beginning and end of the winter and summer season respectively, and fishing gear at the end of the summer season.
