Hallingdal offers good downhill cycling. Nesbyen is known for high speed riding and has shuttle based downhill biking, while Hemsedal, Geilo and Ål have summer ski lifts that take you to the top of the tracks.
The season lasts from the end of May or the end of June to the end of September (depending on the destination).
Bike rental is offered in all destinations in the region. Quality and maintenance vary from place to place. Experienced cyclists are advised to bring their own bike or make arrangements in advance.
