Where to stay in Uvdal

Uvdal offers a wide range of accommodation – from campsites to mountain lodges and historic farms.

Uvdal is a family destination, and the accommodation provided reflects that.

The campsites offer a wide variety of activities both on land and on water. For example you can rent a canoe, go fishing in the lakes and rivers, or have a barbeque at both Fjordgløtt and Norefjord Camping.

You can also go hiking in the beautiful natural surroundings. The cabins at Uvdal Resort are of a high standard with kitchen facilities and private bathrooms, some also have cable TV and internet.

At Uvdal Mountain Resort and Cabins there are fully equipped, individual mountain lodges available. Here you will have nature right outside your door.

Farm holidays

Situated in a spectacular location about 30 minutes from Rødberg, you will find E.K.T. Langedra Nature Park. It is a family-run attraction where people can experience native Norwegian animals up close. Here you can see elks, reindeer, lynx and wolves up close, as well as goats, cows, horses and other farm animals. Open all year round, accommodation available at weekends and in school holidays.

Huseby Gård is an equestrian centre which offers farm holidays for families in a fully equipped cabin.

Historic stays

Several of Uvdal's accommodation providers have a unique history. Did you know that Uvdal Hostel has been both a bank as well as the sheriff's farm and the local prison? Today the hostel can accommodate 44 guests but has still kept many of the rooms in the original style of the house.

Sevletunet is a 18th century farm where you can stay in apartments in the old barn or in rooms in the main building.

If you fancy staying at a traditional Norwegian mountain lodge on Hardangervidda Mountain Plateau, you should choose Mårbu Mountain Lodge. It is only accessible in summer on foot or by boat. or by snowmobile in winter. Getting here is an experience in itself.

Brøstrud Farm and Accommodation is situated on the sunny side of the valley, with a beautiful view and excellent home-cooked food. Also offers meeting and conference facilities.
