Fretheim Hotel is situated in the middle of Flåm, close to Flåm Railway Station. It is a hotel which has hosted many noble English lords who came to fish in the big Flåm River.

With roots dating back to 1870 and a traditional atmosphere intact, the Fretheim Hotel distinguishes itself today as a leading, modern tourist hotel. Its distinctive architecture and stunning fjord view, 118 comfortable rooms, several suites, large restaurant and modern conference facilities, make Fretheim Hotel one of Western Norway's most exciting hotel experiences.

The kitchen at Fretheim uses local ingredients from local farmers.

Vatnahalsen Høyfjellshotell is also a hotel with a long history. Built in 1896 it became a popular hotel because it is situated at Vatnahalsen, one station before the end station of the Flåm Railway, Myrdal.
