Alpine skiing and snowboarding

With long skiing traditions and two ski centres, Voss Resort and Voss Fjellandsby Myrkdalen, Voss has become one of the most established ski destinations in Norway – popular amongst families as well as skiing enthusiasts. It is not without reason that World Cup Events are frequently held here.

Voss is one of the most snow-reliable ski destinations in Norway. Altogether 50 kilometres of well-prepared slopes await you and your family, offering varying terrain ranging from forest runs to high alpine slopes with breathtaking views.

The two ski centres in Voss cater for all ages and abilities, from small children and families to expert skiers. Both ski centres have activities and designated skiing areas with magic carpet for children.

Voss Resort is situated in Bavallen, only five kilometres from Voss town centre. Ski bus service from Voss town to Bavallen every day. Piste map (PDF - 8mb) 

Voss Fjellandsby Myrkdalen is situated in Myrkdalen, a short drive of only 25 kilometres from Voss town centre. Ski bus service on weekends and holidays. Piste map (PDF - 241 KB)

For the children

At Voss Resort you can try out the family quiz trail and the Badnakrokjen playground, which is a designated children’s area. During weekends and holidays, ski races and other special children’s activities are arranged at Badnakrokjen, with an activity leader on hand.

Voss Fjellandsby Myrkdalen offers activities for children on weekends, holidays and on request. Ski races for children aged 3-12 can be arranged, as well as activities without skis such as sledding, tug of war, face painting and music games. There is a large children's area and slopes specially designed for the little ones, with their own lift and moving carpet.

Ski passes

In Voss you buy your ski passes at the ski centres, Voss Resort or Voss Fjellandsby Myrkdalen, depending on where you want to ski. If you have a key card you can book online or you can get your ski pass on arrival.

Ski hire and ski school

Both ski centres have their own ski rentals and ski schools; Voss Resort Ski School and Voss Fjellandsby Ski School.

The ski schools can offer instruction, in both English and Norwegian, in a wide range of skiing activities, including alpine, Telemark, snowboard and cross-country skiing, plus carving (both resorts) and kiting (at Fjellandsby Myrkdalen).
