The day starts with a cup of coffee and a briefing with the guide in the bar at Restaurant Børsen, where we review the route for the day’s skiing. Which peak we’ll climb and the route up and down are decided in cooperation with the guide and the participants, based on their experience level and the weather conditions.

Then we put on our warm survival suits before loading the skis and the equipment onto the boat. On board a large RIB boat, we set course at high speed for the starting point, passing islets and skerries along the way. Our highly skilled guides will then take you safely into the stunning Lofoten Alps, where the highlight of the day for most people awaits: downhill skiing. If conditions are right the Lofoten Islands can offer perfect powder snow from peaks up to 1,100 metres high all the way down to the sea!

When we reach the fjord again, a fishing boat waits for us with a cold drink and a hearty bowl of fish soup. On the way home, there is time to relax, but not for too long. Tonight’s dinner need to be sorted out! At our favourite fishing spot, the big fish are lurking in the depths. We cast our lines and hope for a successful catch before setting course towards L. Berg Sons fish factory on Svinøya.  At this idyllic place, the chef welcomes both us and the catch. We get a crash course in the art of filleting and fish preparation (cod tongue cutting) as well as learning about the Lofoten stockfish production. Finally we are introduced to the stockfish “inspector” himself.

Then it is time for a hot shower and perhaps a quick nap before our catch of the day is prepared and served by the chefs at a well-deserved celebratory dinner at Restaurant Børsen.

Choose from a full day’s excursion, or split the programme over two days, with the ski- and RIB expedition the first day and the fishing and factory visit the next day. Minimum five participants. Price: NOK 6,250 per person.
