Getting to Rjukan

Rjukan is located between Oslo in the east and the famous Norwegian fjords in the west.

Rjukan can be a stop on your round trip in Southern Norway, or a stop on your way to the fjords in Western Norway, or to Oslo in the east.

By plane

Oslo Airport Gardermoen lies approximately 240 kilometres from Rjukan. There are bus connections from the airport to Rjukan five times a day.

Sandefjord Airport Torp is close to Sandefjord, and lies approximately 180 kilometres from Rjukan. There is a bus connection from Torp to Rjukan every day.

By bus

Daily express bus to and from Oslo, Porsgrunn and Skien.
