Telemarkreiser offers six packages with popular trips: Mountain biking on Hardangervidda from NOK 910, island hopping in the Kragerø skerries from NOK 750 and trips of varying length along the Telemark Canal from NOK 835.

Experience the Telemark Canal

On The Telemark Canal you can choose between trips from 2 to 11 hours, and there are many possible combinations. Half day trips from NOK 380. Full day trips NOK 710. (Prices include boat/bus).

For those who wish to enjoy a bit more of the canal, you can treat yourself to an overnight stop at one of the comfortable hotels. Prices from NOK 910. The bus service "Kanalbussen" brings you back to your starting point. We recommend to book tickets in advance.

Drive-walks

New, exciting opportunities for car tourists who visit West-Telemark and who enjoy walking. At the tourist offices you can purchase maps of interesting walking trails in the area, which are all well-marked and have information about points of interest along the route.  These are circular routes. In total there are 20 different routes, plus 3 round trips by car.

The road to the fjords

By choosing the E134, the main highway between east and west, you will find a range of interesting places to stop en route in addition to the magnificent countryside; Norsk Bergverksmuseum (rock/mineral museum) and the silver mines at Kongsberg, Heddal Stave Church near Notodden and the Norwegian Skiing Adventure Centre in Morgedal. You can also make a detour to the Telemark Canal and Røldal Stave Church before the road heads down to the Sørfjord.

The Telemark Road

Telemarksvegen (The Telemark Road) runs from Kristiansand to Morgedal along rv. 41. Along the route you will experience a varied countryside, many activities, villages and shops and places of interest. The route takes you through undulating landscape dominated by mountains, lakes, forests and agricultural scenery.

The Telemark canal is a 105-kilometre long watercourse taking you from Skien to Dalen.
