Its kitchen is widely known for excellent food - every day, all year round.

The Christmas Dinner is famous way outside the deep forests of Telemark, with some guests even claiming that "if you have never tasted the Christmas Dinner at Straand, you have never tasted a real Christmas Dinner".

During the summer you can enjoy a meal outside on the large terrace with a beautiful view of the lake and mountains. The terrace has a small bar offering refreshments. On fine days the hotel arranges barbeques. In addition in Quality Straand Hotel & Resort there is a selection of lunch courses.

Straand Summerland

Straand Summerland lies beside the lake and has a beach, a climbing tower, playing area and a cafeteria. The cafeteria offers light meals, beverages and ice cream.

In July a troubadour plays live at the weekends.

The hotel has two bars; the Dancing Bar and the Piano Bar.

The Dancing Bar is on the lower ground floor with seats for 300 persons.

The Piano Bar is smaller and more intimate and is located close to the reception. In addition to cold beverages, the Piano Bar also offers a coffee menu.

At least one of the bars is open in the evenings, and the house band plays live six days a week.

Skjusstasjonen Pub

This pub is a popular meeting place throughout the autumn and winter. It is open every Friday and Saturday from September to April, and during Christmas and Easter. A selection of troubadours entertain throughout the season.

Vrådal Hotel

At Vrådal Hotel the evening buffet is arranged during summer and winter. Italian, Mexican and traditional Norwegian courses are listed on the menu during the winter season.

Vrådal Kro og Spiseri

A café situated in the centre of Vrådal, offering lighter meals and beverages.

Waldenstrøm Bakery and Café

Local café situated in the centre of Kviteseid and open during daytime. The café offers home-made cakes, bread and other bakery products.
