Hemsedal offers two of Norway’s best trout rivers, Hemsila and Grøndøla. In Hemsila you can expect to catch trout of 500 grams to two kilos. Hemsedal is 220 kilometres from Oslo, 290 kilometres from Larvik and 273 kilometres from Bergen. You can also get the train from Bergen or Oslo to nearby Gol and continue onto Hemsedal by local bus or taxi. Sogn og Fjordane Ekspressen and Hallingbussen are express buses between Oslo and Hemsedal.
