Where to stay in Oslo

Oslo offers a range of hotels in every price category, as well as youth and family hostels, guest houses, camp sites and private accommodation.

The Norwegian capital has over 50 hotels, which cater to every taste and budget. There is no star rating system, but the overall hotel quality is excellent.

Oslo is home to many prominent hotels, including Hotel Continental, the only Norwegian member of The Leading Hotels of the World. The historic Grand Hotel is a city landmark, and the 37-floor tall Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel is the tallest in Northern Europe.

At most hotels a large breakfast buffet is included in the price, and the majority of Oslo's hotels are conveniently located in the city centre.

Budget accommodation

For those travelling on a tight budget, Oslo offers a range of guest houses, youth and family hostels, private accommodation and camp sites.

Some of these places are only open during summer, but those open year-round include Bogstad Camping, Perminalen Hotel, Anker Hostel and Oslo Youth Hostel Haraldsheim.

Book before you go

The city’s increasing popularity as a travel destination means that its hotels are often full, so booking ahead is always recommended.

If you need accommodation when already in Oslo, the tourist information centres in Oslo will be happy to help you find a place to stay.

Booking

The Oslo Package is available for hotels in every price category. The Oslo Package includes breakfast and Oslo Pass for the duration of your stay and can also be combined with tickets to shows, sporting events and popular activities.
