There are good alternatives for travelling within Fjord Norway, but information may be hard to find. Here those of you who do not wish to pick up a hire care at the airport will find alternatives for green travel in the region, which can easily be explored with public transport.

Bus and express boats

Although there are great connections from both Bergen and Stavanger to Oslo, the best way to really get to see the region is to travel by bus or express boat – or a combination of both.

There is a great express bus service that connects Stavanger, Bergen and Ålesund. It allows you to travel between the towns and to make stops along the way.
