Cross-country skiing in Ryfylke

Sauda and Suldal are two of the best places for cross-country-skiing in Ryfylke.

In Sauda you can find up to 190 kilometres of prepared and marked cross country trails. The Gullingenområdet of Suldal offers up to 51 kilometres of prepared trails, depending on snow conditions.  

You can also use trails marked by the Stavanger hikers’ and skiers’ association on the Ryfylke moors.

There are often good skiing conditions in other parts of the region; contact the tourist offices for more information.

Make note of the special winter festivals - Zporty Snøfestival in Suldal and Sauda Snøfestival.
