The Ryfylke Museum has numerous and varied facilities throughout the region, for example Kolbeinstveit Farm by Lake Suldalsvatn. Here you find the thirteenth century Guggedalsloftet, which is the oldest non-ecclesiastic wooden building in the county of Rogaland.

During the summer, you can sail the old Suldal steamer on Lake Suldasvatnet.

Visit the zink mines at Allmannajuvet in Sauda, where even the walk up to the mines is impressive. A local guide can take you into the mines.

Beautiful churches include the two Renaissance style churches; Old Årdal Church and Jelsa Church. On the islands there are numerous stone churches worth seeing.
