Ørneflagg is the southernmost top in Valdres and the highest point in Sør-Aurdal County.
From the South: Drive on E16 to Nes i Ådal and turn to the left onto road 243 towards Hedalen. From the North: Drive on E16 until Begnadalen and turn right towards Hedalen. There you follow road 243 southwards towards Nes i Ådal. From road 243 follow the signs towards Vassfaret (toll road). Park the car at the bridge Bogbrua, ca. 4−5 km after you left road 243. A private toll road leads to the DNT-hut Storekrak. Follow it by foot or bike. From Storekrak, follow the T-marked track towards Gulsvik almost all the way up the valley (Ørneflagg is to the right) until an unmarked path towards the top of Ørneflagg exits to the
right and follows the ridge northwards to the summit. Stunning view. It’s possible to walk (no path) to the lake Fisketjernet and return to Storekrak on a marked path from there, otherwise return on the same way you came up.
