SKI & SAIL LOFOTEN 2013

Lofoten is located at lattitude 68º north along Northern Norways most spectacular coast line. It offers world class skiing and is unique in terms of access, culture and climate. Traveling by sailboat among the majestic mountains that rise from the sea, is an experience of a lifetime.

We will sail to a new location every day in a stunning well equipped 80 ft. sailing yacht. Traveling with skis and sails will get you close to nature, wildlife and untouched powder. The weather and conditions can change quickly. For this reason we only use UIAGM certified ski guides who have local knowledge of the area. This way we can offer a flexible program, with the best knowledge, as well as ensuring safety.

IS THIS TRIP FOR ME?
This is for ski and sail enthusiasts, and is a great option for the annual skitrip! This trip is for those who wants to experience the exotic winter landscape of Lofoten in a unique way. An important thing is that the group is relatively at the same level, since we have many alternative tours to choose from for all skill levels. If preferred we can provide 2 guides on the trip. We bring friends, groups and corporations and can tailor make trips on request. When it´s time for a special occasion, to celebrate an anniversary or just time for something extra special, we can deliver a trip of a life time.

AREA OF OPERATION
All tours will be planned according to where we get the best conditions for skiing in the Lofoten region.
Lofoten is a historical place with several villages where the fishermen carry on the long tradition of the Lofotfiske (cod fishing). You also can find 5000 year old caves, traces from the Sami and the Vikings, who also sailed these seas and lived here.
We will start the day with a good breakfast sometime between 07-10am. After this, depending on destination and current weather conditions, organize our equipment and get ready to chase the powder. Most of the peaks are 750-1100 m staring at the beach, and we will use approx. 6-8 hours round trip a day. We´ll enjoy the stunning views and the days in the mountains. When we are back down to the boat again, it's time for dinner, chilling, fishing, sailing and especially plan the next day's destination.

ACCESS/GETTING HERE:
By air, there are 3 possibilities: Svolvær, Bodø and Harstad. Transport to and from arrival at Svolvaer Airport is included. If you arrive by plane to Bodø or Harstad you can arrange transportation to Svolvaer via bus, Express boat or Hurtigruten and we will pick you at arrival.
