Trysil’s wildlife is unique in Norway and you have the opportunity of experiencing its diversity up close, in beautiful surroundings. In Trysil you can join an exciting elksafari on foot or in bus.

In Trysil you have the unique opportunity of going on a walking elk safari with a dog – the only safari of its kind in the world! This is an excellent way to get to know the animal known as the “King of the Forest”. Stalking the elk with the help of the dog’s finely-tuned senses is an exciting experience, and not least an educational one. The interplay between man and dog in itself is interesting to watch.

Local guides take you on into the forest where you will experience elks up close and find out more about these impressive mammals.
