Skjærdgården (roughly translatable to "The field of skerries") consists of almost 700 small islands, rocks and cliffs. Many of these are equipped with toilets, rubbish bins, anchoring rings and jetties. The local municipalities have co-operated in providing a service to boating people. The service provides maintenance, information, various forms of help and supervision. It is the primary feature of the Vestfold coast and is a must see for any visitors to the area.
