Description

The University Aula is located in the middle building at University Square, located next to Karl Johans gate. The buildings were constructed between 1841 and 1853.

On the walls inside the Aula you can see 11 of Edvard Munch's paintings, including "The Sun".. The hall is often used for lectures, ceremonies and classical concerts.

The Aula is only open to the public in connection with events.

The University of Oslo's own presentation Edvard Munch in the Aula contains a panoramic view of Munch's Aula paintings.
