Description

Strandtorget Shopping Centre, Lillehammer, Norway The other centre is Strandtorget Shopping Plaza by the river, benefiting from the development of an old paper factory site, the adjacent E6 and its proximity to Lillehammer.

There is an ongoing debate on whether to limit Strandtorget's activities in order not to depopulate the town centre. Interestingly, the Storgata shops tend to open affiliated shops and outlets at Strandtorget. Given the at times appalling weather conditions, a large indoor shopping mall has proven successful. 65 shops under one roof!
