If you are travelling during high season (July) you should book in advance to be sure to find a place to stay. You can book direct on Kystriksveien booking. It is particularly important that you do so if you are travelling to the islands, as the options there are limited. 

Hotel and motels

Most of the traditional hotels in the region are located close to the towns of Steinkjer, Namsos, Rørvik, Brønnøysund, Sandnessjøen and Bodø. But you will also find small local hotels and farm-hotels like the Abelvær Gård in Nærøy and Dønnes Gård at Dønna offering historic accommodation.

Fishermen's cabins and self-catering accommodation

If you plan to stay in fishermen's cabins or in cabins at campsites you can either bring your own bedclothes or rent them. Usually you have to clean the cabin on departure, but you can also choose to pay for this service. Most cabins have kitchens where you can prepare your own food.
