Getting to Ål

Ål’s location halfway between Oslo and Bergen makes it an ideal base for visiting the fjords of Western Norway.

By car

The shortest route between Oslo and Bergen is along rv. 7, and right in the middle of it you find Ål.  Take the main road from Oslo towards the west following signs to Bergen. After barely 3 hours and 215 km, you reach Ål.

By train

The train journey with the Bergen Railway takes you through some beautiful scenery. It takes approximately 3,5 hours to reach ål by train from Oslo or Bergen.

By bus

Nor-Way Bussekspress takes you to Ål. Approximate travel time from Oslo is 4 hours.
