Gjøvik, Land and Toten is good fishing country and is easily accessible, by boat, car from Oslo, Norway's capital city. A drive of about 1 hour and 30 minutes from Oslo takes you to a number of lakes and rivers where you can try your fishing luck.
This region boasts two of Norway's largest lakes, Mjøsa and Randsfjorden, as well as a number of lakes and ponds teeming with fish, mostly trout, pike and perch.
The angler is practically guaranteed a catch of some sort, throughout the year.

Package 1: Sillongen Toten Hotel
Five good fishing lakes a short walk from the hotel. The fish include pike, trout, perch, roach, carp and crayfish.
Sale of fishing permit, boat hire and fishing guide available. Facilities for preparing and freezing your catch so that you can take it home after your holiday. Only a 15-minute drive to Lake Mjøsa and its fishing opportunities.

Package 2: Lyngstrand Camping
Lyngstrand Camping is located in idyllic surroundings at Randsfjorden – one of Norway's largest lakes.
The fishing is good for all anglers, from the young to the more experienced. A wide range of boats suitable for different requirements will provide variety as you fish – trolling for trout, pike or Arctic char, fishing for the giant pike in the delta areas or relaxed fishing for perch in sheltered bays. There are also a number of smaller lakes in the surrounding woodland which are good for fishing.
Accommodation at Lyngstrand is mainly self-catering in cabins, comfortable rooms in the farm building or your own camping equipment. Breakfast and simple meals can be ordered.

Package 3: Randsfjorden Gjestegård
Lake Randsfjorden is full of history, legend and magical fishing.
The trout from Randsfjorden are famous – cunning, hard to kill and there are some half a dozen 12-kilo fish swimming around. The fjord is also home to a few heavyweight powan, Arctic char and perch.
Randsfjorden is enchanting; 70 kilometres in length and 132 metres at its deepest.
