What to do in the Fjell & Fjord region

Hiking

The short distances between the mountains and fjords mean that there are lots of fantastic areas for walking. Experience the pleasure of walking in the mountains, along rivers and lakes, through valleys, along sea-green fjords and on paths through verdant orchards.

Cycling

The Adventure Road is a paradise for those who want a cycling holiday. Here you will find widely varying bike routes. Why not cycle Rallarvegen (the Navvies' Road) - one of the most popular and most scenic bicycle rides from the vast mountain plateau of Hardangervidda right down to Flåm and the Aurlandsfjord, or Voss.

Riding

If you are out after a special wilderness experience, a riding trip in the mountains is highly recommended.

Fishing

Whether you try your luck as a sports fisher in one of Norway’s best trout and salmon rivers, camp by one of the mountain lakes in Hallingdal or go saltwater fishing in the fjords, you will find luck fishing in the area of the Adventure Road.
