Winter along the Adventure Road

Hemsedal, Geilo, Ål, Gol and Nesbyen together represent a comprehensive and concentrated ski region.

Hemsedal

With a landscape reminiscent to the Alps, Hemsedal is one of Scandinavias most popular and largest winter destinations. A stabile inland climate ensures great winter experiences. Hemsedal Ski Centre is an alpine resort of international class.

Geilo

Geilo is a diverse ski and holiday resort with a central location, 800 metres above sea level. In this pleasant mountain village there is a close proximity between the skiing areas and the town centre. Tourists have been coming here for more than one hundred years, making Geilo one of Norway's most traditional ski resorts.

Ål

Ål is a skier’s paradise with over 386 kilometres of groomed cross-country tracks, and slalom, downhill and sledging slopes at Ål Ski Centre and Skarslia Ski & Akesenter. The Bergsjø area is an ideal starting point for cross-country skiing and snowkiting.

Gol/Golsfjellet

Gol and Golsfjellet provide many opportunities whether you love the joys of outdoor life, shopping or a festive evening on the town. Pleasant shopping streets with free parking attract customers from all over Hallingdal. The combination of alpine sports in a family-friendly environment with shopping is unique at Gol.

Nesbyen

Nesbyen Alpinsenter and the cross-country tracks lie above 1,000 metres above sea level. There are sheltered tracks and slopes through birch forests, as well as wide open summits with fantastic views.
