Alpine skiing and snowboarding
Seven lifts, 17 downhill runs of varying difficulty, a children's area, a terrain park and perhaps the best off-piste opportunities in Scandinavia await at Stranda, providing something for every member of the family.
Parts of the resort have artificial lights for evening skiing, and a top snow-making system ensures stable conditions throughout the season.
Snowboarding? The terrain park at Stranda is located in the middle of "Furset", on the right side when driving towards the centre of Stranda.

For the children
The children's area, "Snow White", with a slope of only seven degrees, is an excellent area for those new to skiing or snowboarding. Here you will also find benches, so you can sit and watch the kids practise their newly acquired skills with the rest of the family. This is a good supplement to the "school lift", which is for slightly older children, and those who have been skiing for longer. The ski carpet is set up on the podium at the cafe. The terrain around the ski carpet is slacker, and great for the first skiing experiences.
Ski passes
Ski pass prices for the season 2012/2013. Children under the age of seven ski for free when wearing a helmet. In Stranda you must buy a key card for all lift passes. The price is NOK 75 and the key card can be reused the next time you are in Stranda or at many other destinations.
The Alpepass is a joint ski pass that covers eight ski destinations on the west coast of Norway. It gives access to a total of 32 lifts, over 60 runs, a 800-metre vertical drop, several terrain parks, free-riding, and of course lots of snow and fun. Read more about Alpepass (pages in Norwegian).

Ski school
Use your ski holiday to improve your skiing skills, become a better skier and have more fun. Instruction in both skiing and snowboarding is available at Stranda, with experienced ski instructors who arrange a tailor-made programme for each individual's level.
Instructors are on hand every Saturday and Sunday, and on weekdays on request. Call +47 45 50 00 82 or email skipost@strandafjellet.no for more information and booking.
Cross-country skiing
Stranda has about 25 kilometres of groomed trails, all with good, wide tracks suitable for anyone with basic skiing skills. Most of the trails are found down in the valley, but when weather permits, a 10-kilometre-long cross-country track is also prepared on the top of the mountain. It starts at the top station at the "Furset" lift, and goes in a loop in varied terrain. Take the lift to the top (remember to buy a ticket for the lift at the ticket office), and enjoy a wonderful cross-country experience.
Off-piste skiing
The Sunnmøre Alps are known for their excellent off-piste opportunities. In the perfect conditions, nothing can compare with this experience. The best way to enjoy off-piste skiing is to hire a professional guide who will know the risk of avalanches and how to react if something goes wrong. Remember that off-piste is always at your own risk.
Dining and nightlife
There are three restaurants in Stranda: The Pavilion at Furset and the Pavilion on Roald (both with great fjord views), and a cafe at the bottom of the slopes.
