Dining in Haugesund and Haugalandet

Eat at a snack bar in Haugesund or find a restaurant with local food off the beaten track.

Try the local snack bars for fast food or dine at the cities gourmet restaurants for splendid Norwegian specialties and contemporary food.

Many local restaurants offer traditional Norwegian fare, for example Lothes Mat & Vinhus, To Glass and Borgøy Sjøhus. A meal should always be concluded with a meal followed by Queen Maud's Pudding, a local dessert.

Although Haugesund offers great variety for dining, you should not forget all the charming and delightful restaurants, bars and taverns spread across the region. It might very well be that "your" restaurant is located far off the beaten track, maybe on a small island or tucked away in the deepest arm of a fjord.

Farm produce

There are many locations around Haugalandet where it is possible to purchase farm produce such as cheese, cured meats, fruit and vegetables. One such place is Åkrafjordtunet Centre for Fjord Culture.
